Employment, Labor, & Union Law

For the Love of Labor

Geraci Law Offices has practiced Labor, Employment and Union Law for over ten years and has a successful track record in accurately representing clients' interests on behalf of both employees and employers.

One of the very first steps when circumstances occur in the workplace that arise to the level of complaints being filed, contracts being breached, or threatening, harassing, or negligent behavior becoming present is to consider legal action. Union members may seek to file a complaint, but will want to first speak with their union reps and/or arrange legal representation, which unions typically have prearranged or on retainer.

For non-union members, a similar process is required if you have been discriminated against or your workplace or human rights have been violated. Complaints may be filed with the U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division (US-DOL-WHD), U.S Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for youth workforce (US-EEOC), or New York State Division of Human Rights (DHR-Complaint) to name a few common options.
